Dead Zone Command: Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 November 2026
Dead Zone Command is a game by Gregory Beauchamp, played on the web at dead-zone-command.pages.dev, as an Android app and on itch.io. It has no accounts, no ads and no in-app purchases, and it does not sell or share personal information.
What stays on your device
Your campaign progress, skirmish settings, sound and voice settings, and the commander name you type for online games are saved only on your own device (in the browser's or app's local storage). They are never sent to us. Uninstalling the app or clearing the site's data deletes them.
Online co-op
If you play online co-op, the game connects to a relay server (run on Cloudflare) that passes game messages between the players in your room. To do that it handles:
- the room code and your seat in the room;
- your in-game actions and the game state, sent to the other players in the room;
- if you host a public game: your commander name and a short description of the map, shown in the public game list until the game starts, fills up or the host leaves (and removed after at most 6 hours).
These messages are relayed, not stored, and nothing is kept once the room closes. As with any internet service, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the connection. Offline and single-player games make no connections at all.
Website analytics
The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without identifying or tracking individual visitors. The Android app does not include it.
Children
The game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Commander names in public games are optional, and players can leave the default name.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions can be sent to the developer contact email shown on the game's Google Play or itch.io page.
